We are Mike and Maya Payne, the couple behind this labor of love/project/podcast and we’re thrilled to have you here! We’re newlyweds who decided to begin this podcast as a way to explore relationship topics and to find and learn from our community of listeners – that’s you! Honey I’m Home came from our mutual love of talking with each other, I say talk, sometimes it’s yelling but always with love. We won’t bore you with the finer details  –  hopefully you will find those out by listening to our podcast. Basically, we love to discuss things! We got our start when we created a youtube show called ShowBuzz, a recap of The Walking Dead. Unfortunately, we had to stop filming that show but we never lost our love for talking. So here we are with Honey I’m Home. Our goal is to engage our audience in discussions that most couples face these days, sometimes happy, sometimes difficult but always from the heart. Hey, Mike here. Growing up in North Carolina, I always knew I wanted to get involved with productions, video, audio, you name it. When it came to making choices on where to live I figured New York was too expensive and California was too far so after college, I packed my bags and moved to Atlanta. And I haven’t looked back since. It was a rocky start for the first couple of years, not having a social life due to a complicated work schedule. But a couple years ago, my schedule opened up and in walked Maya. The rest is history….until you hear about it on this podcast!

Hi! I’m Maya. I’m a Jersey Girl, by way of Boston, who’s landed in the ATL. I moved here for work (my day job is being a public health consultant) but have found so much more than that – not the least of which is my southern gentleman of a hubby aka Booboo Bear.  In my spare time, if Mike and I aren’t talking about something we think would be so fun to explore on this podcast, I’m probably crafting something  (right now, I’m totally obsessed with crepe paper flowers!) while binge watching something on Netflix (right now, it’s Grace and Frankie!).
